Hi. I’m Julia.
In addition to being a licensed counselor, Julia Slutzky is a life-long educator and child advocate who has supported students and their families through her work in teaching, coaching, volunteerism, and counseling.
She is intentional, inclusive, and supportive of children, young people, and their families.
Her positive and peaceful rapport with clients in a safe and pleasant environment allows them to grow at their own pace, under the guidance of a qualified and careful therapist and advocate.
Julia and her husband, children and two sweet dogs live in Smyrna, Georgia.

Throughout her career, Julia has worked with students and young people from varying backgrounds and in many unique environments.
As a Teach for America teacher in South Phoenix, Arizona she worked with and alongside many students who had immigrated to the United States or were the children of recent immigrants from Mexico and South America.
Additionally, in her work at Amana Academy in Alpharetta, Georgia (both as an educator and in the role of School Counselor) she served students from around the world whose native languages ranged from Urdu to Spanish to Pular.
She also spent 5 years leading the Children’s Ministry at Trinity Anglican Mission Church in West Midtown, Atlanta.
